The third edition of the International Symposium on Technological Business – ISTB is centered on the theme ‘Innovation: in Science, we trust!’. In the book ‘Capitalism, Socialism and Democracy’, published in 1942, the Austrian economist Joseph Alois Schumpeter associates the entrepreneur with economic development, based on his capacity to generate new ideas and to carry them out. Innovation, in turn, translates the implementation of market, social or organizational solutions and derives from science. Thus strong science, strong economics. The event takes place between September 22nd and 25th, 2021, in Natal-RN, in an online edition.
The connectivity of knowledges, restlessnesses and ideas enables a creative environment that generates innovation. It is within this concept that the ISTB, aims to configure itself as a connection space for all kinds of innovators, to spread the culture of innovation in a plural and interdisciplinary way.
Organized by the Postgraduate Program in Science, Technology and Innovation - PPgCTI, of the acronym in Portuguese, the event aims to promote a channel of connectivity between researchers, from all areas of knowledge, who have innovation and technological businesses as topics of interest, and other agents of the innovation ecosystem: actors of entrepreneurship, from consolidated companies to junior companies and startups; government managers and investors.
